To record, the VTR is set in 1920x1080 System Mode, PsF System Scan, one of 23.98/24/25/29.97/30, so that the formatting is set correctly to the content frame rate for proper orientation on the format ID and correct video mode playback. VTR set in Data Mode, PsF System Scan, 25 or 29.97, frame rate of VTR does not have to match the content frame rate since both playback and record is non-real time and would require a Data Mode operation of VTR
