| Sony BVM-L230 1920x1200 Native, 22.5" Diagonal Purchase from VTP Note: Version 1.2 or higher is shipping. Panel Type: a-Si TFT Active Matrix |
Master Grade Precision Backlight. Using a Flat Panel design with Sony designed high-purity precision LEDs, 10-bit panel drivers, Non-Linear Cubic Conversion Color Management with unique 3-D LUT capability, and 12 bit output accuracy* at each signal processing process, Sony has enabled the widest color space (gamut) ever offered in a Sony monitor to fully cover broadcast-standard color spaces. *out of the conversion from input codes, the accuracy through the panel is limited to a maximum of 10-bits. 16:9 and 4:3 selectable Native Scan Modes. With a WUXGA Native 1920x1200 22.5" Diagonal 16:10 precision LED backlight panel*, menu selection provides for a Native Scan Mode x1 for a 1:1 pixel mapping of 1920x1080, 1280x720, 720x576, 720x487, and center cut (or scaled) 2048x1080* Additionally, a Native Scan Mode x2 for a 2:2 pixel mapping is available by menu selection for 720(1440)x487(974) and by removing the 16:9 front bezel cover, for displaying 720(1440)x576(1152). Advanced Area Marker and Center Marker menu settings and capabilities are also supported. * DVI-D input is limited to 8-bit, it is a single link interface only. For 1920x1200 the system frame rate is 59.94P 1920x1200. For DVI-D video, the system frame rates support a variety of rasters up to 1920x1080, but not less than 59.94/60P for 640x480 or 720x480, and not less than 50P for 1280x720. **2048x1080 RGB or XYZ at 10-bit or 12-bit through Dual Link, the frame rate is limited to 23.98/24P or 23.98/24PsF. Color Space and Gamma Selection. Select Color Space and Gamma Emulation of BVM SMPTE C (color of BVM-A24 equipped with SMPTE-C phosphor CRT), BVM EBU (color of BVM-A24 equipped with EBU phosphor CRT), ITU-R BT.709 (ITU-R BT.709 three primary colors chromaticity point), D-Cine (portion of three primary colors chromaticity point provided by DCDM), and Wide (BVM-L230 individual three primary colors chromaticity point). Also supports Sony S-LOG Standard and S-LOG Full, and xvYCC. New functions added in Version 1.2 Software. HD Frame Capture Function (Memory Stick not supplied), Multi Display Function (side by side, wipe, butterfly, blending), Pixel Zoom Function (8x), Gamut Error Function, Closed Caption Function (display of EIA/CEA-608 or text portion of EIA/CEA-708 using optional input adaptor BKM244CC). Interlace Display Mode. For interlace signals input to the monitor through the Optional BKM Input Adaptors, as 8 or 10-bit 720x576/50i, 720x487/59.94i, or 1920x1080/50i/59.94i/60i, or input through the single link DVI-D Rev. 1.0 HDCP compliant connection, as 8-bit 1920x1080/50i/60i, or 720x480/59.94i/60i, the picture can be displayed in Interlace Mode without I/P (without Interlace to Progressive) conversion processing. This provides for viewing the picture near the original quality* of the input signal. Interlace Mode can also be selected for certain PsF signals, 1920x1080/25PsF/29.97PsF/30PsF, that are input to the monitor through the Optional BKM Input Adaptors. *While the Interlace Display Mode does not fully emulate a CRT because the actual scan trace of a CRT is not emulated, and CRT Phosphors had specified decay times, a near and adequate CRT viewing of fields on essentially a progressive panel can be achieved. Black Frame Insertion Display Mode. A special Black Frame Insertion Display Mode* provides for reduced LCD motion blur (smear) in high frame rate or motion analysis applications, where the BVM-L230 inserts a black frame and displays it between picture frames, combined with a high frame rate derivative frequency on the display. *The Black Frame Insertion Display Mode is not a selectable part of the I/P Conversion factory default Display Mode, or the Interlace Display Mode. This is achieved in the BVM-L230 display by increasing the displayed frame rates proportionally with Black Frames On as part of the same derivative of the original Input Signal frame rates. The design overall display frame rates are set to 4x the input signal frame rate, or 2x the field rate depending on the input signal and Mode settings. Consequently, there may be a correlated drop in overall brightness with Black Frames turned On that may or may not affect the standard luminance target outputs of 100cd/mē and 48cd/mē for D-Cinema based on settings. Expandable Video Input Capability. Video input configuration can easily be modified or expanded by installing up to 4 optional BKM input adaptor boards*. *Refer to VTP and Sony for more detailed information regarding supported BKM boards and required serial number ages. External Control. The input signal selection and various functions are controllable via a peer to peer or network connection with the BKM-16R controller (sold separately as an option). Contact VTP and Sony for additional control options. |
