*Note: This unit requires compatible set top box DTV digital
tuner with IEEE1394 interface to record and play back a digital ATSC compliant DTV
19.3Mb/s up to 25 Mb/s 188 byte MPEG-2 encoded Transport Stream from "off-air"
broadcasts (subject to the restrictions of Broadcast Flag and digital content management
copyright considerations. **Requires password to play back password protected tapes
(ProScramble password mode) recorded on the SR-VDA300US (see above). HD Recording is
only possible from a pre-encoded signal conforming to IEEE IEC-61883-4 MPEG-2 HD Transport
Stream standards (actual stream data rate recordable is up to approximately 25 Mb/s).
Able to record from JVC's JY-HD10U MPEG-2 HD Camcorder using IEEE. Also plays
JVC's original Scramble Technology.
